| | Model of the car: | SI | | | General comments: | I had an new original '86. I lovedthe car. I needed something bigger so I traded it for a Saturn SL2 in '94. Huge mistake for several reasons. I missed the car terribly so in November of '05 I bought one that was about 700 miles away. I reanted a car one way then drove it home. It was spray painted blue, had over sized tires on the front and was unmodified and zero rust. It had about 142,000 miles on it. I have replaced about the entire suspension and bushings, the rotors and bearings, axels, A/C, seats, body work including fiberglass front corner panels (notice the fake air vent - but at least they won't crack) the stereo, the tires, body work and a new paint job. Everything in it works almost like new. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Since I have restored it - nothing. It has a very strong original motor and transmission, A/C is cold, ride is tight. No problems. | | | Previous car: | '86 DX |
